1. SQL Server 2016: It Just Runs Faster – Bob Ward, On Screen (70 Minutes)

Based on the popular blog series, join me in taking a deep dive and a behind the scenes look at how SQL Server 2016 “It Just Runs Faster”, focused on scalability and performance enhancements. This talk will discuss the improvements, not only for awareness, but expose design and internal change details. The beauty behind “It Just Runs Faster” is your ability to just upgrade, in place, and take advantage without lengthy and costly application or infrastructure changes. 2. SQL Server on Linux for Windows Users – Ronen Ariely, On Stage (60 Minutes)

Starting from clean Linux machine, we will create (live) a full SQL Server developing and learning environment on Linux.

In this session, we will focus on tools, which are familiar to Windows users. We will install tools for local use on the Linux machine, for example: SQLCMD, PowerShell, Visual Studio Core, etc. In addition, we will show how to use tools to manage Linux machine and SQL Server remotely from Windows machine, for example: SSMS, Microsoft Remote Desktop, etc.
