Hey Data Do-Gooders! Get Ready! Mark your calendars for May 5th, Saturday as DataKind Bangalore, in collaboration with Opencity.in (http://opencity.in/), plans to explore how open data can enable citizens to make a more informed decision while voting in the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections
The idea of the DataJam on the upcoming Karnataka assembly election is to understand the point-of-view of citizens for assessing the information published online by the government and civic organizations.
What factors would a voter like to take into consideration before choosing his/her leader?
What techniques can we use to enable citizens to make a data-driven decision for voting?
We invite you to be a part of this DataJam to discover various questions around the elections data and figure out how to answer those questions.
