What we're about

Please subscribe to our channel to get updates, and to support our mission:

While there are several online machine learning courses offered right now, Coursera (http://www.coursera.com/), Udacity (http://www.udacity.com/), Caltech (http://work.caltech.edu/library), Stanford (http://scpd.stanford.edu/public/category/courseCategoryCertificateProfile.do?method=load&from=courseprofile&certificateId=10555807), being part of a community of learners, with local mentors help. Our workshops are based on "learning by example". The students will be introduced the practical tools in data science packages, high-level ideas behind machine learning algorithms, how to evaluate and fine-tune models for better predictions and data analysis techniques by actively working on real datasets.

Course style
Our meetups will not be only lecturing with powerpoint style. It will be taught in lab sessions. We will give the code samples, and ask a simple variation of what is just thought, and the students will apply hands-on to solve the similar task.

The preferred language is Python. Some tutorials will use Docker images that have all the tools preinstalled, some on the cloud.
