Project Accelerator - Data for Good

Project Accelerators are quick consulting nights co-ordinated via conversation and collaborative brainstorming to jumpstart our partner NFP’s thinking about how data can be used to solve pressing business problems. Modelled after DataKind's data accelerator event series volunteers can use their expertise in the field to help NFP’s generate fresh ideas on how to use data more effectively to advance their missions.

**Please note that no actual data will be shared during the course event nor are you expected to do any coding. However we do expect all attendees to have a fair understanding of analytics and have experience in the field to understand the NFP's problems and formulate robust ideas and methodologies.

The goal of this event is to help organizations answer these questions:

• What types of questions can you answer with the data you have?
• Where can you find or how can you better collect the data you need?
• How can you clean and prep your data to answer the questions you have?
• What analysis and methodologies are required to answer the NFPs questions? How would you theoretically implement this solution?

Each organization will give a short presentation to introduce themselves, their mission and their data-related questions for the evening. We will then break out into smaller groups to set up our partners for success on a future data science project.
