Data for Good Ottawa | January Meetup

Calling all Ottawa-area data do-gooders! Please join us on Wednesday, January 27th at 7:00PM for our monthly meetup!

We are always looking for people who want to make a difference. Whether you are a data scientist, a student, an executive, a marketing person, or someone who just wants to give back, there’s always a lot of ways to contribute.

7:00PM to 7:05PM - Meeting Open, Networking

7:05PM to 7:15PM - Chapter Updates

As we kick off a new year, we'll take a few minutes to talk about some of our efforts behind the scenes to secure new partners, and kick off new projects.

7:15PM to 7:25PM - Data for Good Pipeline Initiative

A continuation of a project we kicked off in late-2020, we're seeking input and suggestions from our volunteers regarding the analysis of Ottawa charities' CRA data. We hope to use this data to better focus our efforts on finding the "right" partners for future projects.

7:25PM to 7:35PM - Call for Volunteers

We will be reviewing two opportunities for consulting-style projects, to determine if we have enough interest to pursue them. The organizations that have reached out are Shepherds of Good Hope, and Operation Come Home.

7:35PM to 8:20PM - Presentation of Findings for Habitat for Humanity

We will be reviewing a portion of the findings that have been compiled for the Habitat for Humanity project, which were presented to the client in December.
