What we're about

Dayton Running Club is a social group for runners. We host a speed workout, social run, and bike path run every week. Our Social Run Thursday meets at a different local bar every Thursday night. The course is marked, with cones, signs and chalk arrows, by club volunteers. Afterwards, we celebrate with food and drinks at the bar. Tuesday we have Speed Training at a local outdoor track where we work on running techniques, perform drills and sprints to improve pace. On most weekends, we meet for local races or organize a bike path run.

Tuesday Speed Training at Oakwood Lane Stadium

Join us for our weekly Tuesday evening track workout.

We will begin with a 1 mile (4 laps) warmup. During the summer we will have a short session of running drills to help with form (we skip this in the winter months).

Following the drills we will begin our main workout ranging from 400's, 800's, 1200's and even 1600's. We will have shorter workout options based on abilities/experience. Following the speed work we will do a group cool down of 1 mile (4 laps).

The nice part is no matter how fast or slow you are, we will all be together on the track! Meet us at 5:45pm at the track.

We'll stretch, warm up and start the workout at 6:00pm sharp.

Social Run Thursday

Dayton Running Club hosts a Social Run every Thursday from a different bar in the Dayton area. We update the schedule monthly, so check back for updated details at the start of each month.

We meet at 6:30. Run starts at 6:45. The route is marked with cones, signs and sidewalk chalk arrows.

After the run we meet back at the bar for food and drinks.

If you sign up and then cannot attend, please make sure to move yourself to the "Not Going" group so we are not waiting on folks that won't be coming. Thanks and keep those laces tight!

Bike Path Run - Beavercreek Station

Join us for our weekly Sunday Bike Path Run!

These are usually out-and-back runs on local bike paths. Beavercreek is our go-to bike path but we sometimes switch it up with Yellow Springs, Miamisburg, Moraine, and downtown Dayton along the river. We usually all start together but the distance and pace will be at your own leisure.

We meet at 8:30am for some stretching and then we start the run promptly at 8:45am.
