Join us for our weekly Tuesday night track workout. We will begin with a 1 mile (4 laps) warmup. During the summer we will have a short session of running drills to help with form (we skip this in the winter months). Following drills we will begin our main workout ranging from 400's, 800's, 1200's and even 1600's. We will have shorter options of workouts based on abilities. Following the speed work we will do a group cool down of 1 mile (4 laps). The nice part is no matter how fast or slow you are we will all be together on the track! Meet us at 5:45 at the track. We'll stretch, warm up and start the workout at 6:00 sharp. Due to COVID-19 and the ever-changing policies of high school facilities being open then closed then open then closed, our backup track will be Kettering Recreation Center.
This is more of a "bandit" run compared to our Thursday runs in that the target pace will be 8:30 min/mile (11.3 kph or 5:16 per km) or faster and the route will NOT be marked with chalk or cones so it probably isn't a good run for first-timers. This week we'll be at Austin Landing in Miamisburg. We start at 5:30pm sharp and run the sidewalks/bike paths of Austin Blvd east towards Yankee Trace/Centerville or west towards Benner Rd/Miamisburg and loop around in some fashion.
Join us in Xenia for Social Run Thursday from Devil Wind Brewing. We'll run a 5 mile loop through town, surrounding neighborhoods and back on the bike path (route map in photos). Meet us at 6:30 in front of DWB. Run starts at 6:45. The route will be marked with cones, signs and sidewalk chalk arrows. After the run, we'll meet back at Devil Wind for refreshments.
**** The Donut Running Club is taking over this run **** Bill's Donuts in Centerville for a 6 to 10 mile run. You can modify the route if you want less or more. Join us for our weekly Sunday Bike Path Run! These are usually out and back runs on local bike paths. Beavercreek is our go-to bike path but we sometimes switch it up with Yellow Springs, Miamisburg, Moraine, and downtown Dayton along the river. We usually all start together but the distance and pace will be at your own leisure. We meet at 8:00am for some stretching and then we start the run promptly at 8:15am.
