Tony Mazza:

Tony has been a Research and Technology Advisor (RTA) with the Canada Revenue Agency, Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Division for almost 12 years. He was also on assignment as an acting National Technology Sector Specialist (NTSS). In his duties as an RTA, Tony has reviewed a wide and varied range of SR&ED claims in many diverse sectors.

Prior to joining the CRA, Tony was an R&D Engineer in the private sector, working in alternate energy (Fuel Cells), mineral processing (Uranium Fuel Conversion Operations) and chemical recovery and waste minimisation technology for the metal finishing industry.

Tony holds Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in Chemical Engineering with minors in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, as well as an education degree from the University of Toronto. While in the private sector, Tony was also a sessional lecturer and adjunct faculty at Ryerson University, as well as sessional faculty at UOIT, Oshawa, ON. He has co-authored several patents, refereed papers and a book chapter.
