2020 Mentoring Partnerships Launch Meeting

Interested in sharing what you have learned with a less experienced photographer? Or are you looking to get more confident with your photography, by working with a mentor?

Our group has a Mentoring Partnerships program, to match a Volunteer Mentor with a "Mentee."

This meeting is to give an overview of the program and gather basic information from participants. The information will include the area where you live, the type of camera and computer you use, and favorite photographic subjects. The requirement is for Mentors and Mentees to have at least two contacts per month, either in person, by phone, or sharing photos by email for constructive comments.

This is a significant time commitment by both Mentors and Mentees.

We will have topic sessions at Oakhurst Baptist on these dates: (10 AM to 12 Noon)

Sat. Feb. 1: Learning Session on Camera Modes and Exposure Controls

Sat. Feb. 29: Learning Session on Composition + Photo Critiques

Sat. Mar. 21: Learning Session on Basic Editing + Photo Critiques

Sat. May 16: Graduation Celebration (6:30 PM)

The Learning Sessions ($8 to attend) will be open to all Meetup members, but Mentors will get a refund for the fee to attend.
