Intro to the Lambda Calculus

Everyone has heard of anonymous functions, but no one does anything about it!

Come find out what the hullabaloo is about.

The lambda calculus is one of the fundamental models of computation, and directly informs languages such as Lisp and Haskell, and, as other languages get on the anonymous function bandwagon, them too!

This talk will introduce the basics of the lambda calculus, and show how we can pull numbers, booleans, and functions from almost nothing!

We will probably not get to the Y Combinator this time.
