Anyone from amateur to professional who has an interest in nature photography should join. Whether your photo gear includes an SmartPhone, point and shoot, or pro-sumer/or professional camera gear, we offer opportunities to help you increase both your knowledge and opportunities to shoot the natural environment.
The Meet Up serves to identify events among all our chapters in which you can participate to include training workshops, presentations on techniques and gear, photo competitions, and field trips. Most field trips require joining one of our regional chapters and all the information about chapters and joining the Georgia nature Photographers Association is posted on GNPA.ORG (https://www.gnpa.org/) . Meetings of this chapter are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Fernbank Science Center. GNPA has seven other chapters around the state of Georgia including five chapters in the Atlanta area.
Because our focus is on nature photography, we limit the photos posted to our website to images that represent aspects of the natural world around us. Therefore, wiith the exception of promoting GNPA sanctioned workshops and competitions, please do NOT post images that are not nature/wildlife related or whose subject is predominantly "hand of man" (bridges, barns, churches, etc). In order to maintain the integrity of the group page, those images will be removed. Special events (webinars, workshops, etc.), if photography related, may be posted with prior approval.
