Inaugural DeepRacer Nights MeetUp (August)

Our very first Race Meet, bring yourself along to learn and race amongst some of Melbourne's most passionate DeepRacers!

This is not a typical MeetUp; we're purposely building this event as an interactive, hack & race style event with plenty of freedom to try new things and learn from the community.

We'll have everything you need to get started in DeepRacer or hone your already awesome skills! We'll have free AWS credits so you can hack to your hearts content and try out new things, 4 DeepRacer cars and pre-trained models you can modify, 2 race tracks to master and AWESOME PRIZES for best times provided by AWS!

Prizes include:

• Amazon DeepLens
• Some Amazon Echo devices
• T-shirts, stickers and other merch!

We will also have 2 short workshops on the night from hosts on DeepRacer-esque technical challenges, how to get the best from the car, experimenting with models or just getting started! Workshops will run whilst cars are on track.

The plan so far:
5:30pm - Doors open, grab some food and drink

6:00pm - Welcome / opening introduction

6:15pm - 7:45pm - Laps on the track run throughout the night

7:45pm - Announcements, prizes, event conclusion

8:00pm - Doors close
