Get started with Microservices and RxJava

Details
Hi everyone - We are hosting two beginner sessions on Microservices and RxJava.
Session 1: Make a successful start with Microservices, by Hemant Gaur
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Microservices is an architectural style that structures an application as a collection of loosely coupled services, which implement business capabilities. The microservice architecture enables the continuous delivery/deployment of large, complex applications. It also enables an organization to evolve its technology stack.
This session will take you through the creation of fast, resilient and scalable system using Spring boot, Netflix APIs (Eureka, Hystrix) with Microservice architecture.
Topics covered:
a) Microservices, a look back
b) Requirements for Micro service ecosystem
c) Quick overview of the technologies involved
d) Improve team performance (technical and social)
e) Live Demo of breaking a monolithic to Microservices using spring boot and Netflix APIs
f) Good, Bad and Ugly of Micro-services
Session 2 : Getting your feet wet with RxJava, by Ragunath Jawahar
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
RxJava is a gateway for developers starting with the reactive and functional style of programming. RxJava is a part of reactive extensions which is a standard cross-language and cross-platform API for asynchronous real-time data stream processing. It is gaining a lot of traction these days both in front-end and server-side programming. This hour long session aims to expose you to the basics and make you curious about the reactive and functional style of programming.
Pre-requisite : Both these sessions assume basic working experience with the Java programming language.
