Enterprise Technology: Building performant and scalable applications
"Learn from startup journeys, hands-on exercises, and sessions on some exciting technology topics"

In this edition of our meetup focused on enterprise technology, we plan on covering how you can give a superior experience to your users by focusing on different aspects of application performance and scalability (both front-end UX and efficient servers). We also look at getting a sneak peek into some exciting new technology topics.

Here's the detailed agenda:

  • SESSION 1 : [10:15 to 11:00] Enhanced User Experience with Animations (Sakshi)
"We say our eyes are attracted to light. But more than that, we love motion. This talk will focus on creating pure CSS animations & much more so that you build even more delightful and responsive user experiences"

  • SESSION 2: [11:10 to 11:50] Introduction to Golang for Node.js Developers (Soumyajit & Sharad)
"GoLang is one of the most talked-about languages recently whenever. In this talk, we cover the basics of Go, it's key features, and why you should consider it for your back-end. We'll also cover Go syntax and semantics by coding some simple constructs (basic HTTP server) and drawing parallels with their implementation in NodeJS"
Pre-requisite for this session: Experience writing a web server with node.js and basics of HTTP.

  • SESSION 3: [12:00-12:45] Explore with Machine Learning Vision (Priyanshu Pandey, Bhumika Saxena) (GirlScript)
"This will be an introductory session to Machine Learning and computer vision. Apart from covering its day-to-day life relevance, we will also discuss the basic algorithms associated with Computer Vision and Machine Learning. This will be followed up with a hands-on use case as part of CodeLab session"

  • SESSION 4: [1:30 to 3:30] CodeLab - Building a microservices Based application (Nitish Mehta, Anurag Bhandari)
"In this session, we will cover the basics of Microservices architecture and combine our learnings from previous sessions (GoLang, NodeJS, CSS animations) to build a microservices-based application together. This will be a hands-on session and we would request you to bring your laptop with necessary setups (details will be shared via email prior to event) to get the best experience"

Let's get together and learn!
