What we're about
Everywhere I turn, I feel like I'm running into people saying, "millennials don't know how to cook" or "people don't cook at home anymore, what a shame!" Even the Wall Street Journal wrote about it in their article "Why Cooking Has Become a Lost Art," published July 2017.
It makes me want to jab my spatula at them and say, "I'm a millennial and I LOVE to cook."
So, let's prove 'em wrong!
I'm starting this meet up to get together with people who also love to make and enjoy tasty food. This group is for anyone interested in cooking, gardening, farmers markets, making your food from scratch, talking about food, sharing memories, and learning from each other.
My goal for this group is to meet other enthusiastic home cooks and to get ideas and inspiration for my food blog. I'm tired of my old lemon dressing over spring greens. Let's liven up our kitchens! Looking forward to exploring healthy, sustainable, and most importantly, delicious dishes with others.
We'll meet once a week (unless I'm out of town). There can be a hands-on component and then, most importantly, socializing while trying our new creations.
All skill levels are welcome. All age levels welcome. We're not only a millennial group. I'm keeping the group sizes small, preferably 6, no more than 10, to foster getting to know each other and give everybody a chance to get hands on.
