An opportunity to leave work, go for a drink a particular topic that is burning at the time.
This week we will be debating about immigration:
'Is wanderlust in our blood?'
Recently I read Rutger Bregman's take on immigration in 'Utopia for Realists', so I'd like to break down and challenge the following mainstream takes on immigration:
1. 'They're all terrorists'
2. 'They're all criminals'
3. 'They will undermine social cohesion'
4. 'They'll take our jobs'
5. 'Cheap immigrant labour will force our wages down'
6. 'They're too lazy to work'
7. 'They'll never go back'
It will be a casual debate, inclusive of all opinions and political persuasions!
