About us
Welcome! This meetup dedicated to all professionals involved in Cyber Security for Automated Processes and Control Systems including security for Operating Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA Systems, Transportation Systems, Building Control Systems (BCS), and even emerging Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) systems. Our purpose is to connect the professionals in the Greater Den Haag area with real interest in or responsibility for the cyber security of these systems.
Once we have enough critical mass of interest in Den Haag (The Hague), we will gather for purposes of education, information exchange, and discovery of new opportunities and, yes, perhaps a few happy hours! UPS systems, PDUs, and power management platforms are now routinely integrated with cloud services, remote support, and operational analytics. The harder question is whether these assets are deployed in a way that justifies the trust being placed in them. Even when products are Secure by Design and Secure by Default, commissioning and integration decisions often determine the real cybersecurity outcome. Yet these activities are frequently led by teams focused on operational performance and uptime rather than cyber risk. This session examines why commissioning may be the most important security event in a power asset's lifecycle and outlines practical approaches for establishing security from day one through secure commissioning, secure-by-deployment principles, and lifecycle risk management.
