What we're about

We're women and femme identifying folx who are atheist, humanist, skeptical, freethinkers. We're tired of the elitist, exclusive culture in most secular groups. We aim to be inclusive and affirming of all genders/orientations, and life paths that follow an ethical tenet of "do no harm".
Our aim is to build a community of like-minded humans, to have fun together and also discuss issues of the day--whether on a global or individual level--with knowledge derived from critical thinking and empowerment derived from being in control of one's own life. We support, build up, and cheer each other on, and we hold space for those who are still doubting, questioning, and unpacking their beliefs.

Most events will be around the Denver and Boulder metro areas. Please feel free to join us at events that are convenient for you, and suggest new events in your area! If interest grows, we will split into more location-specific groups.

Atheists Helping the Homeless July Giveaway (cross-posted)

**If you are able to help me on the Friday before to gather overstock clothing from my office to bring to the giveaway, please send me a message! -Emily** X-POSTED from Atheists Helping the Homeless - Denver: Atheists Helping the Homeless Denver is a direct action organization that seeks to help people in need in our community and to show that religion is not a requirement for acts of compassion. Giveaways are held on the last Sunday of each month at Denver's Civic Center Park. We provide basic living items such as toiletries, clothing, blankets, and non perishable food items. Our ability to help those in need comes directly from the efforts of our members to gather donated items from the community. Additionally, some of our members purchase items to give directly to the homeless. We are a no-cash charitable organization. Please help us meet the needs of those in our community by purchasing items from our Amazon Wishlist at http://bit.ly/AHHDenver or contacting us through our Facebook page to arrange for a drop-off or pick-up of items.
