Legal Hackers is a global movement of lawyers, policymakers, designers, technologists, and academics who explore and develop creative solutions to some of the most pressing issues at the intersection of law and technology. Through local meetups, hackathons, and workshops, Legal Hackers spot issues and opportunities where technology can improve and inform the practice of law and where law, legal practice, and policy can adapt to rapidly changing technology.
Are you a lawyer, developer / IT professional, entrepreneur, legal professional, legal service provider, or student? Take part in the largest Legal Hackathon in the world with Denver Legal Hackers!
The Global Legal Hackathon brings together representatives of law firms, corporations, non-profit organizations, universities, law schools and others to create rapid development of technical solutions to advance the legal sector and improve access to legal services.
Denver Legal Hackers is joining forces with Houston Legal Hackers to create teams for the Hackathon. We will compete to build a solution that fits in of two requirements: progressing the business of law or facilitating access to justice. This is a real hackathon. It is expected that teams will build working applications, proofs of concept, or prototypes, as well as presentation materials to explain, pitch, and present the application. Teams can consist entirely of participants from one organization or can include participants from many organizations.
Participants in Denver can join remotely, but if you want to work in-person with Denver Legal Hackers, we are meeting in Room 410 of Sturm Hall at the University of Denver, located at 2000 E. Asbury Ave. Garage, street, and metered parking are available nearby, as is a light rail stop for those who do not want to drive. Food and drink will be provided for those who join us at Sturm Hall (message us if you have dietary restrictions). For a map of where Sturm Hall is located and parking options, go here: https://www.du.edu/parking/maps/index.html.
