This is a fantastic hike that I've done several times! I've also been snowshoeing a few times! This will be a full day event so don't sign on if you have other plans afterwards. I would prepare for wind, maybe snow and possibly rain. Things change quick up there. There's been a few times that I've shown up to the parking lot and it's been windy, don't let that freak you out because once I've gotten on the trail, the wind hasn't been an issue.
What to bring.... Headlamp Hiking boots Poles Beanie cap Gloves Microspikes Windbreaker Water Snacks Layers!!!
I'm not a racer so prepare for stops to enjoy the scenery along the way but definitely not going to be a stroll in the park. You'll get a good workout but nothing crazy. This is a gradual climb which is why I do it so often.
