ETHOS: We are about support, safety and healing for those of us who have experienced emotional/psychological abuse (sometimes accompanied by physical abuse) from a family member, partner or other trusted person.
MEMBERS: We meet about once a month at a private location and you are welcome to bring a +1 to our meetups. Because of limited space, if you RSVP as yes, then please update your RSVP at least 12 hours before a meeting if you cannot attend to free up your space for others. If a person is a no show twice, then they will be removed from the group.
OUR POSITION: Narcs can't and won't change because personality disorders are fixed. If you agree with that viewpoint, or are open to it, you'll find this a great place to learn, share and grow with others at various stages of healing. If you disagree, you probably need to find support elsewhere before you join us.
ORIGIN: The person that initially started this monthly meetup group did so because she had a traumatic 2-year relationship which lead to PTSD. She found that every other PTSD group out there was for physical trauma, either at the hands of a partner/family member or through military service.
ABOUT US: We are not therapists. Most of our members have been victims of PTSD as a result of narcs, but keep in mind, we are not proffessional therapists, but many of us have been a therapy client. :)
If you are suicidal or feel that you are in danger, contact the appropriate authorities.
