Kotlin - Under the hood

Details

Virtual Meeting:
We will use Remo for this virtual meeting. You must be logged in to see the meeting link.

Have you ever wondered what Kotlin code looks like when transformed into its Java equivalent code? In this workshop, I'll give you a peek behind the scenes using the Kotlin bytecode decompiler tool inside of Android Studio.

In addition, we will go through a few examples of how small changes in the way we write code can optimize its compiled version dramatically.

About Erick:
My name is Erick Garcia and I'm a member of Kaiser Permanente's Android team. Throughout the years I have gathered wide experience in Software Architecture, interviewing, and best practices for mobile development.

It is my passion to build highly scalable systems that improve our daily lives. I want to share my knowledge so others can accomplish their development goals as well.

About the Droids:
Each 3rd Tuesday of the month, we meet however we can. From 5:45-6:00 pm we will socialize and enjoy whatever food and drinks you have at home. At 6 pm we will have a presentation about a new/interesting Android topic. If you are a new or experienced Android developer or just someone that is curious about Android development, we hope you will join us and become a regular participant!
