Android video playback basics

In this workshop, I'll be showcasing some video media handling basics in your Android application. I will go through the process of starting an app from scratch to be able to playback video by using the android VideoView and control it with the MediaController. I believe that in this new information age being able to engage with your users using visual resources is critical.

About Joel:
My name is Joel Ochoa. I'm a member of Comcast's internet safety team. My job is to lead the conversion of one of our features from WebView to native. I'm passionate about all things Android such as its architecture and the flexibility of using it in many places including cars. In addition, in my free time, I enjoy practicing contact sports, especially MMA and Jiujitsu.
