Microservices 101 – A Primer on Microservice Development:
Lately, microservices are all the fuzz in town. It's what the cool kids use nowadays. But, what does it mean for an app to be "microservice-based", and how can I get started? I'm this workshop, we'll shed some light on the microservice architecture, why are they different from other architecture styles, their pros and cons, and how can we get started.
We will also learn about container technologies and how can we leverage their power to turn our applications into microservice-based systems capable of becoming the next great thing.
About Luis:
My name is Luis Gutierrez. I'm a Software Engineer at Microsoft and part-time entrepreneur. I've worked for some of the biggest players in the industry for several years and in many different parts of the software development and project management cycle.
It is my goal to share my insights and learnings with you to help you improve our kickstart your development career.
About the Droids:
Each 3rd Tuesday of the month, we meet however we can. From 5:45-6:00 pm we will socialize and enjoy whatever food and drinks you have at home. At 6 pm we will have a presentation about a new/interesting Android topic. If you are a new or experienced Android developer or just someone that is curious about Android development, we hope you will join us and become a regular participant!
