Getting feedback from colleagues and stakeholders is one way of ensuring that our design decisions make sense and a great chance to learn from others and improve. However, regardless of which side you’re on, it can be difficult to put into practice: most people struggle with giving meaningful feedback or taking it without getting defensive.
During his presentation "Hate it. Demolish it. Improve it.", Davide Trimarchi will be sharing with us some insights about how to give honest feedback without being offensive, as well as how to ask for feedback, receive it and use it wisely in your design process.
The presentation will be in English & will cover the following topics:
- "Look at my work: it’s shit!"
- "Ask for feedback in a structured way"
- "Give productive no-asshole feedback"
As usual, after the presentation, there will be Q&A and open discussion, as well as networking @the bar, but this time we will have SOMETHING NEW a dedicated time-slot for PRESENTING YOUR WORK & receiving feedback from the group!
So, if you have a project that you would like to share with the group & get feedback on send me an email at [masked] or PM me on Facebook or Meetup!
