“Happiness is the ultimate ROI” – Gary V.

Human centered design approaches like Design Thinking and Design Sprints have proven effective at accelerating innovation over a wide spectrum of business and UX challenges - new product and service design, process re-engineering, strategy and business model innovation - for companies as diverse as Google, Lego, Uber and Home Depot.

What if we could apply the same techniques of empathy, iterative experimentation and rapid feedback loops to the most interesting design challenge of all .. our lives?

Drawing inspiration from Google Design Sprints, as we kick off a new year, let’s explore how to adopt a growth mindset and apply the approaches, mindsets and structured behaviors of a sprint to make decisions, reframe challenges and solve problems rapidly in our personal and professional lives.

Changing behavior is hard and isn’t accomplished with once a year ‘set it and forget it’ resolutions which most of us lose sight of by February.

We’ll be joined by speakers, Angelo Popper and Sudeep Pisipaty of Health Recovery Solutions who will share actionable ideas to proactively manage our mental and physical health and insights into the psychology they embed into their healthcare platform to help patients change their behaviors.

During the workshop we’ll share tools to help you:
- Capture and prioritize what you’re trying to do ie your SMART goals

- Take a process driven approach to productivity - leveraging a proven system for generating, building and testing ideas that can be used over and over again

- Create prototypes to isolate one aspect of a life challenge and design and test experiences which allow you to experiment with different versions of potentially interesting futures

Expect to leave the workshop feeling empowered with tools and techniques that you can use as you continue to iterate on your personal roadmap and design your best life.

Sudeep Pisipaty is the Director of Product Management & Innovation of a venture-backed healthtech focused on changing patient behavior to reduce readmissions and improve clinical outcomes. A graduate of New York University with degrees in Neuroscience and Economics, Sudeep began working at Health Recovery Solutions in 2016. Today, HRS supplies over 100 of the nation’s leading medical centers and has served over 40,000 patients with technology to empower patients in their recovery and care management. In 2018, Health Recovery Solutions was named to the Inc. 5000 list of the “Fastest Growing Companies in America,” coming in at #272 and recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the 360 most innovative companies.

In his spare time, Sudeep provides strategy and growth consulting to small businesses in the NYC-area, and also provides mentorship to college & high school students. An avid basketball fan, Sudeep cheers on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center and also enjoys exploring and eating his way through NYC’s food scene.

Angelo Popper has been with Health Recovery Solutions since November 2017. A graduate from Stevens Institute of Technology with a BE in Biomedical Engineering and an MS in Management, he began at HRS as a support engineer. He is now the manager of the support team, and is working towards being a product manager. Angelo takes mental health seriously, having struggled with his own. His personal and educational experiences led him to focus his professional attention on behavior and processes that affect behavior. This applies to behavior of patients and nurses using the HRS system, as well as the internal behavior at HRS.

Angelo strives to make a positive difference by sharing his knowledge and learning from the experiences of others. Aside from work, he is a die-hard New York sports fan, rooting for the Yankees, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers.
