Calling all design thinkers in Johannesburg. We want to bring people who are involved with any aspect of the Design Thinking value chain to network, engage, share experiences, and learn together to enrich our experience and advance the practice of design thinking. We may even collaborate on projects together!

Design thinking, a framework that was pioneered by IDEO, enables people to create solutions to address complex problems by empathising with others' experiences and working together to harness the power of creative thinking. The design thinking processes assist to define user needs, champion ideas, create prototype solutions and test these with users to ensure their needs are met in their experience. Design thinking encourages people to work together to relinquish judgemental biases, propose ideas without limitation, and promotes action to turn ideas into reality through iterative prototyping and testing.

Want to learn the truth about Customer Experience? It's about a PROMISE - explicitly made, assumed or puzzled together over years of a customer or an employee having a relationship with a brand. And it's about the consequences of the promise being delivered or broken. In this meetup we are lucky to be joined by one of the world's leaders in Customer Experience - Chantel Botha, founder of Brandlove. Through a combination of theory and practical, Chantel will show you the tools and methods to understand and evaluate the promise and apply design thinking to systematically deliver the promise and mitigate and handle the risk of promises being broken. ******** We'll open the zoom room at about 17h45 for de-stressing and connection glitches... and then we'll start proceedings at 18h00. You'll need to register once (just name and email address) but then you'll be able to join all the later meetups. We are limited to 100 people so come early! ********* About Chantel Chantel is a brand and business innovator who obsesses over how customers connect with brands. She finds meaning in designing engaging customer experiences that creates value for brands and their patrons. She guides brands on how to design their distinctive tone and emotions they want to evoke in spoken, written and digital communication. Chantel has a BSc in business economics and computer science. She writes for various publications and speaks at conferences around the globe. She transforms people through experiential education programmes and personal coaching. Chantel is a Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) and Lego® Serious-Play® facilitator.
