What we're about

Desserts with Jane is for women who like the writings of Jane Austen, classic literature, and getting together for afternoon tea. All women are welcome, both those well-studied in Austen as well as those new to the idea of reading books by a young English spinster written more than 200 years ago.

Sorry, gents, much as we enjoy your company, this group is just for women.

Our events include reading Austen's books and watching the film adaptations, tea and dessert gatherings, discussing other books written by 19th century authors or those in the same vein as Austen (e.g., the Bronte sisters, Elizabeth Gaskill, and Bridget Jones), attending the theater, and anything else that strikes our fancy.

Come discover the relaxing atmosphere that is Desserts with Jane while also visiting new cozy locations throughout the metro area! We'd love to meet you!

(Note: Desserts with Jane is not affiliated with the Jane Austen Society of North America, although we wholeheartedly endorse them and many of our members are also JASNA members.)
