PRESENTATION:
What are Cloud Functions anyway? What does it mean to have serverless environment? In this talk we will answer these questions and we will explore some of its applications such as REST APIs and Conversational Bots.
We will also look at what you need to get started and some of important things to note about this technology like testing, debugging advantages and disadvantages.
Nelida Velazquez is Developer at Labs, she's been doing iOS development for many years and recently adventure into the Javascript world to explore the intriguing lands of React and Node.js. When she's not coding she's eating tacos.

PARKING: Flat fee parking is available at the Detroit Opera House parking structure or metered parking is available on the streets.
TO BRING: This is an entirely hands-on event. If you have a TDD-ready environment already set up on your laptop, please bring it. If you don't, come anyway. Since we will be pairing all night we only really need for half of everyone to have ready environments. That said, if you have something that will work please bring it. We will need to rely on our more experienced members a little for this event.
If you don't have a TDD environment set up can rely on using cyber-dojo.com which we can briefly go over how to set up the kata and languages.
I also have a TDD-ready project set up for JavaScript (https://github.com/kroysemaj/jasmine-seed) using Jasmine and gulp.
