1st Talk: Pawel Kowalski and Jonathan Parker (GObugfree)
DevSecOps with leveraging the swarm intelligence of the hacker community
Cloud technologies and agile development methodologies enable rapid response to customer needs and continuous release of new functionalities. However, this dynamic increasingly means that vulnerabilities are not detected early, which in turn is exploited by cybercriminals. Almost every week, we read about successful cyberattacks in the news. How can conventional security measures be supplemented to cope with this development and increase protection against cyberattacks?
Using concrete examples, the two speakers will share their experiences on how agile security methods such as bug bounty programs work in practice and can be integrated into the development process. You will also learn how awareness in development teams can be sustainably increased with bug bounty programs. Using a live hack, Jonathan will demonstrate how a hacker goes about a bug bounty hunt and what development teams can learn from hackers.
Pawel Kowalski is a Co-Founder of GObugfree
Jonathan Parker is Hacking Expert at GObugfree
2nd Talk: Ana C. Brenes (ERNI Schweiz AG)
Triple A for Architecture, Architects & Agile
In our digital world, the triad of architecture, the architects and being agile is of paramount importance. Architecture is a constant. Ana will introduce us to the journey of architecture, the role of architects, and what agile means in this context. She will give us an overview of the different architecture perspectives and how the architects fit into them and how they can be the agents for agility. Architecture is a practice that requires creativity, collaboration and communication.
Ana C. Brenes is a Senior Consultant and Architecture Advocate at ERNI Schweiz AG. She has more than 20 years of experience in software engineering and architecture and has always taken a holistic approach into her work. She has experience as enterprise architect, solution architect and software architect, as well as project manager and technical lead. She has a focus primarily in the banking industry and has also experience in telecommunications, speech recognition, insurance, media services and compliance regulations. Ana is multi-talented in different aspects: linguistically, technically and methodologically.
Afterwards: Apéro - as usual in the Loft + connected terrace. There might even be Glühwein this time...
