What we're about

Calling all DevOps Engineers in NYC! We are banding together to discuss a combination of real world DevOps strategies with some of the top experts in their field presenting on topics such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Migrations, Configuration Management, and other pertinent topics.

You can also expect a realistic conversation about the current state of the DevOps job market, employer hiring trends, how to balance multiple job offers, and much more.

We also like meeting new people and having a few beers / cocktails during these serious topics to take the edge off a typical networking event. We guarantee you'll have a great time and be very informed at the same time.

DevOps & Virtual Drinks with a Side of Data Featuring Alcide and the NY Times

Hi Everyone, It's been some time since we all met, and even though social distancing laws have been put into effect, it's been too long. Our group is going to go virtual until it's safe to return to our usual in-person events. Our presenters will be going live, not pre-recorded, so there will be plenty of opportunities for interaction with them. I am happy to announce that the CTO and Founder of Alcide.io, DevSecOps expert, Gadi Naor will be returning and presenting about : GitOps + Kubernetes | Progressive Security For Progressive Delivery. Gadi is well known in the DevSecOps space and has presented at every major DevOps and Security conference you can imagine. We are very lucky to have him join us again. He will be presenting live from Israel, and his talks are amazing! Also joining us will be Sarah Duncan from New York Times. She will be presenting "Designing for Change and Failure: Lessons learned from building downstream systems on cloud infrastructure". This going to be a great event for both DevOps Engineers and Data Engineers to share ideas about how to work well together and bridge the 2 roles. There will be time for Q&A via a moderator during the presentation, and the password for the event will be sent the week of the event. As much as we'd love to buy everyone attending a few cold beverages, in these crazy times, it's not possible, but do feel free to bring a beverage of your choice to the presentation. We look forward to seeing everyone for our live event. Feel free to ping me with any questions you may have. All the Best, Alex and the Averity Team
