What we're about

Calling all DevOps Engineers in NYC! We are banding together to discuss a combination of real world DevOps strategies with some of the top experts in their field presenting on topics such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Migrations, Configuration Management, and other pertinent topics.

You can also expect a realistic conversation about the current state of the DevOps job market, employer hiring trends, how to balance multiple job offers, and much more.

We also like meeting new people and having a few beers / cocktails during these serious topics to take the edge off a typical networking event. We guarantee you'll have a great time and be very informed at the same time.

Pragmatic Incident Response: 5 tips you can actually implement

Hi Everyone,
It's been a while, but I'm happy to announce DevOps & Drinks is back! We're still virtual for the next few months, but hopefully, we'll all get together sooner than later. On Thursday, August 5th at 1 PM EST, We're bringing back an old friend for August's event. Robert Ross AKA Bobby Tables, CEO of Firehydrant. Robert has presented at multiple events, and though he is a CEO of an amazing company that is growing at hyper speed, he still happens to be an awesome engineer!

This time around, he'll be discussing incident response in a very practical way. To describe it better....Incident response is overwhelming. So where do you start? There's a lot of advice out there, but it's mostly theories that aren't taking reality into account. So how do you get a process in place that actually works and scales? In this session, FireHydrant CEO and Co-Founder, Robert Ross, will share quick stories from his experience as an SRE and what tips he’s learned along the way.

The Averity team will also be on hand to answer any questions about the DevOps / SRE Job Market, latest tech trends, and to play some face-melting guitar licks before & after Robert's presentation.

Hope to see you there!
