DevOps & Drinks: X-Matters, CloudHealth by VMWare, and Braze at General Assembly

Details

Hi Everyone,

Happy new year from Averity DevOps & Drinks! 2019 was an amazing year for us and we're incredibly grateful for all of our MeetUp members and DevOps community. It's been an absolute blast and we're ready to kick off 2020 with a bang! On January 16th, we're excited to announce our first event of the year will be hosted by the awesome team at General Assembly! They have a great space and we have a wonderful line up of presentations for the evening.

First, X-Matters, a cloud-focused solutions provider, will be discussing executing end-to-end tests in Kubernetes: "As software applications transition towards a micro-service architecture and platforms become more cloud-native, these shifts have changed how development teams build and test software. To scale and manage containers, organizations are turning to orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications at scale, whether they run in a private, public, or hybrid cloud."

CloudHealthy by VMWare is also joining us and will be co-presenting with Braze for their presentation on navigating the cloud journey with effective cloud management, governance, and optimization in a secure fashion. Their talk will be covering "public cloud management", and the story of how Braze Software simplified the management of a scaling cloud footprint without sacrificing growth velocity.

Last but not least Michael Stromer, Instructor Lead at GA will also be doing a native React workshop as well.

Food and Drinks will be sponsored by X-Matters and VMWare, with a surprise giveaway from Averity!

As always, the Averity DevOps and Security Team will be on hand to discuss the state of the market, takeaways from Re-Invent, and anything else in this ever changing tech environment. We'll be spotlighting each of our presentations as we get closer to the event, as well as announcing a fun raffle!

We hope to see all of our MeetUp members there and thank you all again for your time and support. This Meetup has grown because of you!

Happy Holidays and we'll see you in 2020!
