For our August DevOps Galway Meetup we are delighted to bring you an interactive talk by Ian Purdy on Red Hats OpenShift Container Platform.

Ian Purdy is a DevOps evangelist and system architect specialising in Red Hat's OpenShift platform. He has 20+ years of leading development teams in large enterprises, and is currently Managing Director of middleware specialists Crossvale Europe Ltd. headquartered in Ireland.

In this talk you will learn how Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (based on the increasingly popular Kubernetes framework) can help you deliver scalable and highly-available applications even more quickly and reliably than you have in the past. We will introduce the key concepts and then demonstrate the platform's capabilities using a simple micro services based application.
