This will possibly be the last meetup of the year and we are back in the Portershed on a Tuesday (as Monday is a bank holiday).

Our first talk is from Vincent Canning and he will be talk on "Mapping the Cloud", a brief introduction on how to use Wardley Mapping to help guide the technology choices you make when building cloud products.

Vincent is a Tech Lead working with Cisco Systems Galway for the last 11 years on enterprise collaboration technology, and for 10 years before that mostly in the online travel booking industry. He is passionate not just about technology but about optimising the teams and processes that deliver it.

Our second talk is on "Monitoring Microservices," a brief overview of some of the tooling available to help with the every day challenges of maintaining and operating your cloud services and will be given by Colin Mullaney.

Colin is a Software Engineer with Cisco Systems Galway working on the development and operation of microservices within the enterprise collaboration domain. Colin has been working within the collaboration application domain for the last 11 years and previously earned his undergraduate and postgraduate masters degrees at NUI Galway.

Third talk is from Joe Smyth, who is the VP of R&D, AI Group at Genesys.
Joes talk description is: “By applying the concepts of Microservices and DevOps, we will outline how to build horizontally-scalable, feature-rich SaaS applications with AI at their core.”
