January DevOps Galway Meetup (2019)
Details
To kickoff the new year our first meetup will focus on Kubernetes. Talks are scheduled to start at 6:30pm and agenda is as follows:
Mark O'Connor - SysOps Engineer at Teamwork.com
Mark supports and maintains the cloud infrastructure for development and production @ Teamwork.com, and has worked in the field of DevOps for nearly 7 years, lately he has become fixated on all things containers.
Presentation: Running Kubernetes in production, using Kops
Kops is an open source tool for building production grade Kubernetes clusters.This talk will cover experiences using kops to run a substantial SAAS application on AWS infrastructure.
Kubernetes Panel Discussion
This will be followed by a panel discussion on Kubernetes, the panel with consist of Mark O'Connor (Teamwork.com), Dessie Kirrane (Avaya), Owen Byrne (Cisco), Garret Taylor (IBM) and Nadja Sarsur (HPE).
The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panel, and gain some insight into their experiences with Kubernetes.
Pizza's & Refreshments will be available on the evening sponsored by Genesys.
