Meetup #15 with Noorain Panjwani: Migrating your application to Kubernetes

This is yet another special edition DevOps Kathmandu meetup. This time we have Noorain Panjwani, CEO of SpaceUpTech; who is doing interesting projects to make Serverless a democratic place to be in.

He is a die-hard developer fused with the entrepreneurial spirit. He has expertise as a cloud architect and experiences on various Industrial IoT projects.

Since Kubernetes (k8s) is becoming the de facto container orchestration platform and many people are adopting it rapidly but the learning curve is high and is full of surprises. So this meetup is targeted to support those migration steps.

In this talk Noorain will explain the process on how to migrate your application from VM => to containers and => to the Kubernetes cluster. He will share his invaluable experiences and pitfalls of that process and will also touch on some aspects of a service mesh with Istio use cases like canary deployment.
