Industrial DevOps

Details
You don't have to advertise the benefits of DevOps anymore. State of the art web apps are no longer developed without the practices and techniques of DevOps. But how does DevOps work in an industrial environment? This Meetup deals exactly with this question.
Agenda:
17:30 - Door Opening
17:40 - Welcome and Short Introduction
17:45 - Firefighting as a Service - Markus Boos
18:15 - 20% DevOps - Raphael Zulliger
18:45 - Digital Twin @ Belimo - Markus Boos
19:15 - Accidental NoOps? - Andreas Vollenweider
19:45 - Snacks and Beer
Abstracts:
Firefighting as a Service - As a volunteer Firefighter with 20 years of experience and in my Job as "DevOps" Engineer I found some similarities between the two. I like to give an insight of what the core principles of a fire brigade are to provide "customer value" fast.
20% DevOps - DevOps seems to be the Gold Standard of doing things. But where to start in an existing project? Even worse: Where to start in a 10 years old industrial machine project? A machine with multiple hardware generations? Embedded C++ real-time code? Windows C++ HMI code? Can DevOps principles even be applied in such environments? This speech shows some of the considerations we took to walk the very first steps on our DevOps journey: The first 20%
Digital Twin @ Belimo - In a VUCA World embedded Devices should somehow connect in a reliable and secure way. I'd like to give you an insight how we setup our devices @ Belimo, why we do it like that and what we would change or recommend to avoid certain pitfalls we experienced over the past 4 years.
Accidental NoOps? - What we had to learn about applying the shiny world of DevOps and SaaS at a company that doesn't even have "Operations" - and where we're going with it. Using the basics from before the hype and the best from the hype to our advantage.
