DevOps Nottingham

This is a group for anyone involved or interested in DevOps.

We will be holding presentations, discussions and workshops on everything from culture and values, process improvement and automation, tooling and platforms, to new and emerging technologies and how/why to use them.

We have two speakers joining us for the first DevOps Nottingham; Tom Geraghty from Exco InTouch and Tom Morton from Capital One.

The “Three Ways” are the principles underpinning DevOps, an approach that brings together development and operations teams, and has evolved from the Toyota Kata, lean manufacturing, the Agile Manifesto, and using automation to increase the velocity of change in your technology stack.

DevOps & High Performance Teams - Tom Morton

Can you create high performance teams with DevOps as a culture? Of course you can. Using recent examples, this talk looks at the impact of adopting DevOps methodologies and cultures within a single team - from early, and shaky, steps through to mature, consistent performance.

Tom is a Software Engineering Manager at Capital One. He uses his background in DevOps and natural inquisitiveness to motivate high performance teams.
