The length of time end to end UI tests take to run can be a problem for many teams. Maintaining a stable Selenium Grid with the latest browser and driver versions can also be difficult.
This is where Zalenium comes in. Zalenium’s main goal is to allow anyone to have a disposable and flexible Selenium Grid infrastructure.
Zalenium creates selenium-docker nodes on demand. Tests will run faster as they are being run on your network on a node created from scratch and disposed of after the test completes.
In this edition of the Playground we will be getting hands-on with Zalenium to demonstrate the benefits of auto-scaling and improving the stability of Selenium Grid.
A few things to keep in mind:
* As this is a hands-on, please remember to bring your laptop.
* Some prior knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid and Docker would be useful, but not required as we will be explaining basic concepts behind them.
* You do not need to download anything or create any accounts prior to the event.
* Food and drinks will be provided at the end of the playground.
Hope to see our regulars plus some new faces!
