** Scaling out metrics flow & graphite infrastructure - Vladimir Mevzos **
Graphite is de-facto standard for metrics store and visualization, which allows every developer get fast and clear view of application performance, connections with other parts and troubleshoot it more easily. But if you do not cook it right, it could be slow and frustrating. In this small talk we will share our way with metrics processing, we will look under hood of graphite and will concentrate more on graphite application stack which do real job of metrics processing and affect performance the most. We will take a look on all the way that metric go from application to the point on the graph.
We will speak about main problems with graphite stack which probably every team struggles when it comes to scale and metrics amount become overwhelming and about our way to get deal with it. Vladimir Mevzos is an experienced DevOps with about 10 years experience. He pass a long way with metrics and alerting from MRTG,Cacti to Zabbix,Nagios and to more modern Sensu/Graphite stack, fan of "Measure Everything" concept . He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Math. Before Appsflyer, Vladimir worked with bond-trading systems and financial analysis. On his free time he loves to play Chess and Go, travel and spend time at the nature

Hashicorp consul is one of the easiest infrastructures to integrate and use.
Well, that's true if you have small scale and static production.
At AppsFlyer, we soon discovered that running thousands of agents in a dynamic autoscaled environment is a completely different scenario.
This is our story of "shaving the yak" for our Consul infrastructure and tuning it for our scale and beyond.
