It’s time for the first DevOps meetup of the new season. This time organised and hosted by Outfit7! Join us for an evening of workflow discussions, infrastructure wisdom and good company in our Fun Room.

To start off, Luka Draksler (Software Engineer @ Ekipa2) will tell us about scheduling tasks and why he doesn’t miss cron any more. After the talk, you’re invited to stay for a Q&A session followed by games, beer and pizza! And serious DevOps knowledge sharing, of course…

The talk: Apache Airflow: open-source workflow scheduling and monitoring
Still using cron in 2019? Try Apache Airflow! Programmatically create, schedule and monitor workflows with retry patterns, source control, and much much more! Luka Draksler will tell us how Outfit7 migrated all its daily/weekly/monthly big data jobs and practically eliminated its data on-call. What went right, what went wrong and all the lessons learned along the way.

The talk will last approximately one hour.

The location: The Fun Room of Outfit7’s Ekipa2 Subsidiary in Ljubljana, located on the second floor of the shopping gallery next to (or actually attached to) the Crystal Palace in BTC.
