Summary: Atlassian's latest offering bitbucket pipeline offers continuous build, test, and deploy in the cloud replacing bamboo on cloud. This offering is mainly for medium and small sized businesses. The goal of this offering is to take away the need to buy expensive hardware and software for CI and CD and replace it with a cloud offering. This negates the need for any onsite installation and configuration. This talk goes over the mechanics, third party plugins and example build process using bitbucket pipeline. Also covered in this talk is a new Jira plugin that helps teams radiate information from their SDLC pipeline from tools such as Jira, Git, Sonar and Jenkins.
About Michael Pereira and his talk:
Michael is a Software Engineer in the Internal Dev Tools team at LearnVest since 2016, working on improving the Continuous Delivery pipeline for the whole organization. In this talk he will present how to use Github webhooks to automate building, auditing, securing and deploying your code with just a Flask Server and a few lines of Python.
