This month we have Daniel Smart sharing his story of how he implemented the great left-shift of security testing. He is currently taking non-cyber-security personnel through a newly created training program in order to create security enabled development teams.
Doors at 6pm, talk starts at 6:30 followed by some networking.
I started my tech journey years ago, more years than I care to think about. My first tech role was in an engineering company which configured computer systems for pipeline monitoring. There I learned the basics of testing and technical testing. After that, I was hooked. I moved on and grew my technical skills. Over the next years, I worked in a diverse range of industries and many aspects of testing, but always learning and always growing my technical skills.
Currently, I’m at BookingGo as a Test Engineering Lead working with teams across the web application coaching & guiding both testers & developers to deliver a quality and secure product in a timely manner.
Outside of testing, I can be found working with the Security Team promoting left-shifting ownership of and team's responsibility for security. I also have a wild enthusiasm for Python (the coding language) and crazy-loud shirts.
