One of the biggest challenges to any transformation, whether it’s Agile or DevOps, is the idea of a company organizing itself around projects, rather than products. And yet, this is very commonplace in large enterprises. In spite of this challenge, my team and I have managed to solve this problem. Join me as I talk about DevOps transformation in a project-centric world.
Adriana was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and moved to Canada when she was 10. She is a software engineer with 18 years of enterprise software experience. When she’s not geeking out, you can find her rock climbing or running.
In 2013 she took a year-long break from the tech world to pursue her dream of being a professional photographer and starting her own photography business.
Today Adriana is the DevOps Practice Lead at BMO, helping to shape the organization’s DevOps vision and scaling the practice across one of Canada's largest banks.

Errors can be a source of stress in our professional lives. More often than not its discovery can cause us to drop what we’re doing to investigate. As an Ops person, I’ve come to accept errors as fact of life, and even come to appreciate them. Knowing your errors can help you pinpoint the source of the problem quickly. Over the years I’ve compiled a large list of helpful (and not helpful) error messages. This session goes through my favourite ones, along with interesting tales of troubleshooting and resolutions.
