Title: Developers, the other people and velociraptors.

Facilitator: Eloise Pelser

I call myself an expert "married-to-developer-gist" – we are going for ten years now and he is still alive. It will be a ten minute light-hearted talk about my experience being married to a developer and a tip or two for them about how to communicate with the non-programming minds.

Title: Why you should choose Ember - A short introduction to building ambitious (and sustainable) web applications with Ember

Facilitator: Kenneth Kalmer

A regular open sorcerer, Kenneth has been building internet-based systems for 15+ years. He actively works across the entire stack, from the darkest corners of cloud infrastructure to the silver linings where users live.

Title: Maybe U2 should have used Elasticsearch

Facilitator: Jurgens du Toit

Elasticsearch is an up and coming technology that enables you to easily add search to any application. This talk will delve into some of the features available in Elasticsearch to an applications developer, and look at some of the tooling out there.

Jrgns tries to write good code for a living. He even succeeds at it sometimes. When he isn't writing code, he's wrangling data as a hobby. Sometimes the data wins, but we don't talk about that. Ruby and Elasticsearch are his weapons of choice, but his ADD always allows for new interests.
