Title: Code is Poetry (Angular Framework)

What we are interested is in the poetic aspect of code used as language to program a computer using Angular Framework.
Although some part of coding using Angular feels a lot like labour, other parts are “a dialogue between you and your imagination,
and a dialogue with the real or imagined users for what you are creating- a website, game or app”.
It is like writing a poem- a way by which you exchange your thoughts and imagination with that of your readers.

Facilitator: Rifiloe Matlapeng

I’m a web and app developer. I spend my whole day, practically every day, experimenting with JavaScript, Java, HTML and CSS;
dabbling with Python and Assembly; and inhaling a wide variety of potentially useless information through a few hundred RSS feeds.
I build websites that delight and inform. I also take photographs and videographs. I write too. Anything artistic. I do it well.

Title: What is Cloudflare?

We will be diving into what features and benefits there are for developers as well as business for moving over to Cloudflare.

Facilitator: Stian Le Roux

I love to play games, watch movies and too read. I am married to a wonderful wife, we have 3 dogs and 2 cats; all

rescues. We love to entertain with our friends and to travel. All over I love coding and have a huge passion for training. I am currently working for Entelect.

Title: Seamless Kotlin/Java Interop

Kotlin is fully interoperable with Java: you can call Java from Kotlin, and Kotlin from Java. While the former is straightforward, the latter can lead to more convoluted code as one has to incorporate Kotlin's new features. This talk will focus on making interop as seamless as possible, by highlighting common problems, and give tips on how to handle them.

Facilitator: Pamela Hill

I am a second-generation coder and hold BSc IT and BSc (Hons) Computer Science degrees from the University of Pretoria. I have more than 15 years of experience writing desktop, web and mobile apps. I am an Android Engineer at the cryptocurrency startup Luno, and was formerly the Kotlin Principal at DVT's jCentric. I love coding in Kotlin, especially for Android!
