This is a Meetup group for anyone interested in the calming and life-affirming effects of meditation. Through the practice of meditation, you will begin to see life's events for what they truly are, minus the negative feelings. Only 5 minutes a day will help you feel more peaceful in situations where you would normally feel stress, will help you find more joy in your day to day life, and will make you more present in your relationships.

This meetup will feature informal discussions with Buddhist monk Ven.Samakiththi where attendees are encouraged to ask any questions about meditation, the Dhamma, finding one's center, or any other question they may have such as how to use meditation to relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. There will be time for meditation, as well as a talk about why it is important for everyone to take at least a small amount of time each day to quiet our minds. All faiths are welcome and always feel free to ask any question you might have.
