Holiday Greetings - (Online) Meeting

Details

Topic: Annual Holiday Greetings ("Pot Luck", "Show and Tell", etc)

Everyone bring something to share. It can be holiday-related or not. Bring something that speaks to you and want to share. It can be a perspective, story or memory that is important to you, a quote, scripture, saying, poem, song, writing, etc. You can bring anything you want to share really. You also welcome to just show up (bring yourself only). All are welcome. Those who have attended a meeting in the past, those who are regular attendees, and anyone who has yet to attend a meeting. Any and all versions of Holidays are welcome.

Meeting Format:

Most meetings have a single topic which is introduced by the person who came up with it. He/she introduces the topic by posting prior to the meeting (above) and presenting it for up to 15 min at the start of the meeting. Following this introduction, we take turns sharing points of view related to the topic. Everyone who wants to is encouraged to speak. The Group is self-monitoring. The meeting starts at 2 pm and ends at about 4:30 pm. At 3:45 or so we will begin closing round making final comments, stating what we heard or what we realized during the meeting.

Note:
Freedom of thought and expression are valued greatly. There is no designated expert, no guru, no leader/facilitator per se. Diversity of perspective and opposing points of view are frequently expressed and the value of each person expressing their point of view is acknowledged. What is, or what is true or meaningful is a theme often explored in dialogue at our meetings. As are thoughts related to life, self, awareness, consciousness, perception, thought, relationship, love, compassion and the like. These topics often arise in one way or another, either directly or indirectly. Also explored frequently is the meaning of the words in the group's title - dialogue and experience.
