How do you answer the question "What makes for a life well lived"?
Many of us, perhaps all of us, want to live and have a life that we feel is worthwhile.
We are bombarded from a young age and throughout our life with messages about what our life can, or what our life should be.
This meeting is a chance to share with one and other our thoughts on this important consideration. What Makes for a Life Well Lived?
Meeting Format:
Each meeting has a single topic which is introduced by the person who came up with it. He/she introduces the topic by posting prior to the meeting (above) and presenting it for up to 15 min at the start of the meeting. Following this introduction, we take turns sharing points of view related to the topic. Everyone who wants to is encouraged to speak. The Group is self-monitoring. Chairs are arranged in a circle so that we can easily communicate with one and other.
The meeting starts at 2 pm and ends no later than 4:15 pm. At about 3:45 we will begin closing round where we take turns making final comments, stating what we heard or what we learned during the meeting.
Note**- Diversity of perspective and opposing points of view are frequently expressed. The right of each person to express her/his point of view, freedom of thought and expression are valued greatly.
