Meditation. Buddhism. Enlightenment. Have you found yourself asking what these words represent?
Diamond Way Buddhism provides easy access to authentic Buddhist teachings and meditations for use in contemporary life.
The Diamond Way Buddhist Group of Amherst, Massachusetts represents a modern and authentic approach to teachings of the Karma Kagyu lineage, one of four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism. In our approach, an emphasis is placed on developing a meditation practice as a way to attain meaningful results as quickly as possible.
Diamond Way Buddhism is a worldwide network for lay people from all walks of life, who incorporate Buddhist practice in their daily lives.
More than 40 years later, there are now nearly 700 Diamond Way Buddhist centers (https://www.diamondway-buddhism.org/diamondway-buddhist-centers/) around the world. The meditation methods that you can learn in these centers are all traditional Buddhist teachings, but presented in a modern, Western setting and language, accessible to all.
The name “Diamond Way” is a translation of the Sanskrit word Vajrayana. Vajrayana is considered to be the most direct of the three levels of Buddha’s teachings (https://www.diamondway-buddhism.org/buddhism/buddhas-teachings). It is part of all the “old schools” of Tibetan Buddhism, and can also be found in other parts of the world.
