What we're about

Public Group

Public speaking can actually be fun!

Didsbury Speakers Toastmasters Club will help you to develop your speaking skills in a supportive, relaxed atmosphere.

The Toastmasters philosophy is basically - learn by doing.

Toastmasters is a lot more than just prepared speeches. In addition to learning how to organise and deliver a prepared speech, you will learn how to speak on your feet, provide positive feedback, run a meeting, and hone your leadership skills.

Didsbury Speakers club members are all ages, and come from all walks of life, different cultures, nationalities and educational backgrounds. Our meetings usually have about 15-25 attendees. We welcome guests to come along to experience meetings for themselves, and there is no fee to visit, and no pressure to join.

Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished speaker, whether your goal is to get over a fear of public speaking, to improve your business presentation skills, or simply to practice a speech for an upcoming event, visit us and see how we are working toward our public speaking and leadership goals – and having a lot of fun at the same time.

If you are interested in trying us out, then please click in the meeting page to say you're attending, and we'll look out for you at the next meeting.

We are a friendly bunch, so come along, meet us and see what it's all about!
